The DSF incorporates three different 'pools' of money provided by the Department of Human Services in Victoria, Australia, for people living in the Barwon South-West Region.

These include:

• Funding for individuals or groups.
• Funding for Agency Initiatives to assist agencies to pilot programs.
• Funding for Self Help Carer Groups of people with a mental illness.
